Q. Can I use my email account as a POP3 account?
A. Yes. You can receive and send mail with your favorite email software, such as Outlook or Outlook Express. Before attempting to setup your email software be sure that you can log into your account on this website first.
Q. How do I setup my email program to use my Spamfreezer account?
A. Add a new mail account as you would for any other service. The login name is the complete email address not just the username. Both SMTP and POP3 settings are mail.spamfreezer.com . If you have a setting similar to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication", you must enable this setting, which is generally found in your advanced options. Q. I received an email notification from your system regarding a message from an email address that I do not recognize. Can I view the message before making a decision to authorize the email address?
A. Yes. All messages that cannot be identified as spam by our system and require you to make that decision are stored in the freezer. You can view this message online only. Log into your account and select �View Message in Freezer� from the menu. One the next page copy and paste the code form the email message into the box and click the Lookup button. The code in the message sent to you is on the next line following the email address you are attempting to identify.
Q. Can I send and read mail if I am not at my computer but have Internet access at another location.
A. Yes. Web based email services to send and read mail can be accessed from anywhere. Simply log into your account and select the option you wish to perform from the menu.
Q. I seem to be having problems with some functions of the site. What could be the problem?
A. This site supports Microsoft Internet Explorer and Firefox. You must also have cookies and Javascript enabled. These are found in the options section from the menu item Tools. Other browsers may also work with our system but have not been fully tested.
Q. I just registered for an account and have family and friends who I wish to authorize immediately to send me email. How can I authorize them?
A. Log into your account and click on Manage Account. On the next menu that appears click on Manage Your Safe List. You can then view, add to or delete from the list.
